Every Curve Tells a Story

Types of Scoliosis  We Treat

Scoliosis behaves differently depending on when it started and what caused it. We treat all six major types — from the common to the complex.

01

Idiopathic Scoliosis

The most common form, usually appearing between ages 10 and 18. The exact cause is unknown, but genetics plays a strong role. Common in girls during growth spurts.

02

Congenital Scoliosis

Present from birth due to vertebrae that did not form correctly in the womb. Detected in infancy or early childhood and needs careful planning as the child grows.

03

Neuromuscular Scoliosis

Develops alongside cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, or spina bifida — where weak muscles cannot hold the spine upright. Long, C-shaped curves that need customised care.

04

Degenerative (Adult) Scoliosis

Appears after age 50 as discs collapse and vertebrae shift. Often causes back pain, leg pain, and difficulty standing upright for long periods.

05

Functional Scoliosis

A curve that looks like scoliosis but is actually caused by uneven leg length, muscle spasm, or posture. The spine itself is normal and often corrects once the cause is treated.

06

Syndromic Scoliosis

Linked to genetic syndromes such as Marfan syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos, or neurofibromatosis. Requires individualised planning due to unique bone and nerve behaviour.

How We Treat Scoliosis

Three Care Pathways. One Honest Plan.

Every scoliosis case is different. Our approach starts with the least invasive option, escalates only when truly needed, and continues with structured support before and after every treatment.

First-Line Care

Non-Surgical Treatment

For most patients, scoliosis is managed without surgery. Early evaluation and the right non-operative plan can stop curves from progressing entirely.

Does my child need surgery?

The honest answer: usually no. Learn about observation, physiotherapy, and non-surgical care.

Scoliosis-Specific Physiotherapy

Schroth method, SEAS, and structured home exercises.

Bracing for Scoliosis

Custom-fitted braces for growing children, 16–23 hrs/day wear.

When Truly Needed

Surgical Treatment

When curves cross 45°–50° or progress despite bracing, modern surgery delivers safe, predictable correction with neuromonitored protection throughout.

Scoliosis Correction Surgery

Posterior fusion, growing rods, MAGEC, and VCR for severe cases.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Smaller incisions and faster recovery — for selected curve patterns.

Before & After

Supportive Care

Every patient receives wraparound care — pain control where needed, and a structured rehabilitation pathway that returns life to normal.

Pain Management & Injections

Targeted relief for adult scoliosis — epidurals, facet blocks, RFA.

Post-Treatment Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy, return-to-school plan, long-term follow-up.

Before & After Surgery

The Surgery Journey – Clearly Mapped.

If surgery is recommended, every step is explained in advance. No surprises. No hidden timelines.
